Cubicon 2013 (Final Report)

SHOOT and SCOOT PH was present on Day 1 and on Day 2 of Cubicon 2013. Different communities were present at the event, bloggers, photographers, gamers, J-rockers, K-poppers, and a whole lot more. SHOOT and SCOOT PH was really eager to find out if "all communities collide" (as the Cubicon 2013 tagline stated) so off we went to see what was inside of Cubicon 2013.

An event like this will always have the ever-present and very active cosplay community.  Here are some photos of the cosplayers who were kind enough to pose for us.

Gundams were also there. In fact, there were lots of them. Big and small, they've got it all.

Food stands were also present at the event to provide quick snacks to all people who were in the hall. A popular energy drink was also one of the sponsors, and they provided unlimited supply of "liquified" ginseng and taurine to keep the energy level high at the event.

Merchandize from both Japanese and American, and even Korean influences were also available there. SHOOT and SCOOT PH went around to take a look at what were in store and to search for "rare items" that might have finally emerged.

There were also lots of prizes that were given away in different activities at the event. The raffle was actually the easiest way to win, but that depended on how lucky the hopefuls were during that day. 

 

Entertainment was also provided by the organizers from Day 1 to Day 2. From dance numbers to full band set-ups, they had it covered for the audience.

To wrap it up, Cubicon 2013 was an event like no other. Different communities have met there, but it was very harmonious. No clashes were reported so far.
