Fried dried de-boned danggit (small rabbitfish / spinefoot), tomatoes, fried aubergine, and their respective dips of spiced vinegar, and lemon soy sauce definitely beat the summer heat.

In the Philippines, summertime is synonymous to mangoes and all other mouth-watering fruits, such as watermelons. Mangoes are commercially available all year round, and this is due to artificial farming methods. However, mango trees naturally blossom around the first quarter of the year. The fruits reach at their final stage before getting picked by April or May, and this makes their connection to the Philippine summer. Aside from their leaves and their fruit, these trees have other "green" properties.

SHOOT and SCOOT PH was lucky to see one of the latest eye candies in the streets of Manila. This time, it was a customized Mini Cooper that promotes a particular brand of energy drink. This type of promotional car, particularly this Mini Cooper, is one of hundreds scattered all over the world.

SHOOT and SCOOT PH was present on Day 1 and on Day 2 of Cubicon 2013. Different communities were present at the event, bloggers, photographers, gamers, J-rockers, K-poppers, and a whole lot more. SHOOT and SCOOT PH was really eager to find out if "all communities collide" (as the Cubicon 2013 tagline stated) so off we went to see what was inside of Cubicon 2013.

An event like this will always have the ever-present and very active cosplay community.  Here are some photos of the cosplayers who were kind enough to pose for us.
