It is already the first of August, but Typhoon Gener / Saola (Int'l) isn't done wreaking havoc yet. The gust of wind got stronger and got more frequent today. Same goes for unexpected downpours that catch most pedestrians off-guard. Therefore, it is still causing a lot of inconvenience in both personal and commercial aspects.
Since it's the first day of August, SHOOT and SCOOT PH calls this the Au "gust" Rush.

Coconut trees were swaying in a resilient fashion at EDSA corner Annapolis St., San Juan City around 3:00pm this afternoon.

Most adverts in giant billboards along EDSA have been taken out (by their respective advertising agencies) to avoid further damage and inconvenience to others.

Since roads are slippery when wet, motorists drive real slow to avoid accidents, just like what happened several weeks ago at the EDSA-Ortigas flyover. A weather like this causes very heavy traffic, and it is even advisable to take the MRT if possible.
